Welcome to ResumeBoost. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the ResumeBoost website and services at resumeboost.ai (the “Service”), operated by ResumeBoost (“we,” “us,” or “our”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

2. Your Account

To access certain features, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Keep your password secure and confidential
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
• Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we suspect any violation of these Terms.

3. Service Description

ResumeBoost provides AI-powered resume bullet point optimization. The Service includes:

• Free tier: 2 complimentary AI resume bullet rewrites upon sign-up
• Credit packs: Additional credits available for one-time purchase
• Pro plan: Unlimited AI resume rewrites and additional features for a one-time payment

The AI-generated content is provided as suggestions. You are responsible for reviewing and editing the output before using it in your resume.

4. Payments & Refunds

Payments are processed securely through Stripe. By making a purchase, you agree to the following:

• All prices are listed in US Dollars (USD) and include applicable fees
• Credit pack and Pro plan purchases are one-time payments, not recurring subscriptions
• Purchased credits do not expire
• All sales are final. Due to the digital nature of the Service, refunds are generally not provided once credits have been used
• If you experience a technical issue that prevents you from using a purchased credit, contact us and we will resolve it or issue a refund

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Submit content that is unlawful, abusive, threatening, or harmful
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users’ accounts
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service
• Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit the Service without permission
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service’s infrastructure

Your content: You retain ownership of all resume content you submit. By using the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

AI-generated output: The optimized bullet points generated by the Service are yours to use freely in your resume and job applications. We claim no ownership over the AI-generated output.

Our content: The Service, including its design, features, code, and branding, is owned by ResumeBoost and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the Service without our written consent.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ResumeBoost and its founders, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ResumeBoost and its founders, employees, and affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third party’s rights.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from your Account Settings. We may also terminate or suspend your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if:

• You violate these Terms
• We are required to do so by law
• We discontinue the Service

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. Sections related to intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification will survive termination.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the “Last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the courts of the Netherlands.
