Privacy policy

Everything you enter in the builder — your details, work history, skills and photo — is saved in your browser’s local storage on the device you are using. It is not sent to or stored on our servers.

Photos are resized in your browser before they are saved. The PDF is also created on your own device.

An account is optional. If you create one, we store your name, your email address, a securely hashed password and the CVs you save (including any photo you add). This lets you open your CVs on any device. When you log in, the CV you made as a guest is moved into your account and removed from the browser.

Accounts and saved CVs are stored with Supabase, our database provider, on servers in the United States. Access rules in the database make sure only you can read or change your CVs. We use your email address only to confirm your account and to send password reset links.

We don’t set advertising or tracking cookies. If you log in, your browser keeps a login token in local storage so you stay logged in; logging out removes it.

To learn how many people visit and how many CVs are started and downloaded, our own small usage log records anonymous events: a visit (the first page opened, the name of the website you came from such as google.com, and whether this browser has visited before), that a CV was started or downloaded, which template, whether it was a phone or a computer, the number of pages, and if a download failed.

We also use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page views, countries and device types without cookies and without following you across sites. We never send it pages that belong to your account, and it is switched off if your browser sends “Do Not Track”. It never contains your name, your CV text, your photo, your IP address or any ID that identifies you, and it is switched off if your browser sends “Do Not Track”.

The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard technical logs (such as IP address and pages requested) to run and secure the service. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser connects to Google’s servers to download them.

Without an account: use “Start over with a blank CV” in the builder, or clear this site’s data in your browser settings. We never receive that CV, so there is nothing for us to delete on our side.

With an account: delete single CVs from My CVs, or delete your whole account under Account → Delete account. This removes your account and every CV in it right away.

If we add features that change how data is handled, we will update this page before they go live.
